Gudauri sits at 2,200 metres with the lifts, the powder and a guide who knows where the wind loads. Mornings on the groomers, afternoons on the Sadzele ridge, and one day up the highway to Kazbegi when the legs need a rest.

Day 1

Arrival

Transfer from Tbilisi up the Georgian Military Highway, kit fitting, evening briefing.

Day 2

Finding the mountain

Guided warm-up day on the lower lifts, off-piste technique, long lunch on the terrace.

Day 3

The ridge

Sadzele ridge in the morning, back-country lines in the afternoon if conditions allow.

Day 4

Kazbegi

Rest the legs — drive to Stepantsminda, Gergeti Trinity Church, long lunch in the village.

Days 5-6

Powder days

Two full guided days, routes chosen each morning from the snow report and the wind.

Day 7

Farewell peaks

A final morning on the mountain and the drive back to Tbilisi for departures.
